Power Window Assembly

On my 2002 Blazer, I'm replacing the driver side window motor. I've taken out the regulator and replace the motor. My problem now is 2 roller scissor arm of the 3 roller arms are out of the track and I'm having a difficult time getting them back into their tracks (they seem to have go in at the sametime). Currently, I've attached the new motor to the window assembly and everything is attached to the door except these two arm pulleys located behind the door handle (drivers side) and lower right corner of door. I've been unsuccesful to find a repair manual that illustrates how to install the window assembly....PS the tension coil remains on the regulator. Chiltons states to remove the regulator from the sash???? I've spent 12 hours thus and I'm determined to do it myself.

I to replaced the driver door window motor, but I opted to just replace the entire assembly as opposed to just the motor because it looked complicated, but even that was a two day adventure with plenty of tense moments,and threats to get rid of the car.

I have the shop manuals now and can understand a little more. In your case it says to drill a hole through the window regulator and sector gear. Install a bolt and nut to lock the gear and case in place, then remove the motor bydrilling out the rivets. Installation is in the reverse ,but don't forget to remove the bolt and nut. I guess you are past this point if you already removed the motor. This could be the reason you are having trouble re-installing the track.

Done that and said a few choice words too. The rollers have to be put in the tracks BEFORE you bolt the motor onto the door - thats the sissors lift assembly. Its a very tight fit and I taped the window up while doing. One end wants to keep coming off so you can have a helper hold the window in a few position but don't drop on your hands!

I changed the rubber window track on my 89 Blazer. The worst part was getting the glass out and it was even worse getting the glass back in the window. I can't recall having any real problem with getting the regulator back in the runners at the bottom of the glass. You need to have the regulator assembly unbolted from the door I think to get it slotted into the bottom window runner but I can't recall all the details right now. As I say the worst part was puting removing and replacing the clips on the bottom of the glass and getting the glass back into the door becasue the galss stop at the bottom of the door was spot welded on and not bolted on.
