Question wiring diagram?????

I am in the process of replacing the steering column on my friends 89 1/2 ton. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this truck? All the wiring under the dash has been buchered. I am putting in a tilt column. Thanks.

Re: wiring diagram?????

Hi, I just did a cab swap to my 89 Chevy 1ton.I 'm having a heck of a time trying to fix the last owners butcher job to the wiring harness. I used the Chiltons repair manual forChevy Trucks. It has a pretty good wiring diagram section. Also I went to www.autozone.com and clicked on the repair manual section. They have some good diagrams that you can view for free. Finally I paid $15 to Alldata to use thier online repair manual. It's good for 1 year.
My harness was a nightmare.I had to use all three of these resources, and wiring diagrams from 1982 through 1991! The diagram for my 89 R3500 truck showed the wiring for the clutch switch completely different then what is in my truck.I found the correct diagram for it in the 82 diagram. That is just one example of the headaches I have to untangle. I hope this will help you,and good luck...Jim
