Hi..great forum! Engine Tech Swap question...

Not willing to let my Achieva go but pondering what to do. Car has good body but 160K miles. I need to do engine change soon to keep the car. I know this is an "N" body, same as Grandams, etc. but not sure what fun I can have.

I understand the bonnevilles are wider wheel base but still built on the N platform. Would a supercharged V6+tranny from a bonni (or ?) fit (without major changes), ie..would my driveshaft mate to new tranny, etc. or would there be to many hurdles?

If I'm going to change the engine, it might as well be fun to drive after (with upgraded brakes, suspension etc. which I have found available from different sources)

Thanks.

N and H platforms are different, this swap is a major undertaking subframes do not interchange from a H body 3.8 to N body whatever.
