just bought a 95 eclispe gs-t..any ideas on mods?

Hey guys im new on this board...

anyway i just bought a eclipse gs-t year is 95..downfall is it has 103,000 miles on it so i dont know if i should replace it or just heavily modify the engine which ever one is cheaper. But i was wondering what parts or what i should do to it first such as performance is conerned..intake,exhaust? bov? any advice given would be helpful.. and also as far as traction since the gs-t is only a front whel drive car, is it still capable of running 12's or 11's?

With enough money, that car can run 12s. With enough money and enough driver skill, it can break into 11s, but it is very very very very ......... very rare. Always start with a boost gauge, and then work from the outside in. Start with intake and exhaust stuff. Do a fuel pump and boost controller and do intercooler piping and blow off valve. The clutch could go soon too, so I would look into an ACT 2100 or Clutch Masters 2400. You will also want to invest into getting your timing belt changed and water pump changed. Good luck and welcome.

First thing is first, before you really get into modding your car, you need to come up with some performance goals. How fast do you want to run and how much money are you going to spend. Once you decide on those, shoot me an email, [email protected], or IM me, aves911, and I can give you some pointers and show you a good direction to take in increasing the performance of you car.
