front end noise.

I have a 2003 z-71, and I noticed a sqeeking noise today when idling up my driveway. Sounds like it is coming from the front tires. Only hear when moving at extremely slow speed with windows down. Once the truck stops moving the noise stops. Anybody have an ideal of what might be making the noise?

Re: front end noise.

I'm pretty sure this is the shocks or struts. My dads old truck did this terribly. He couldn't sneak up on anybody unless it was in a major hail storm. It probably still does it some when your going down the highway, but you can't hear it for the road noise.

Climb in the back of the truck and jump up and down a few times to get it rocking and see if it does it then

Ooh, just re-read your problem. May want to check the wheel bearing in the front end. They can cause a squeak you would only hear at low speeds, and you don't want them to go out while driving. Jack up the truck and roll the front wheel and see how smooth it is.
