Rear Diff on 2000 Mustang
Got a 2000 Mustang (6cyl.) with auto.
I know that at some point, maintenance dictates that I change the rear diff fluid. At what mileage is this reccomended? I read in another thread to use Purple Stuff. Is that the 70w140 synthetic? How many qts does it take? And what is friction modifier? BTW..while we are on the subject.....I know I need a good repair manual for the car. I would like to have something a little better than the Haynes (HIGHLY ABBREVIATED) manual. What is generally regarded as the best shop manual for my car so I can stop asking all these silly questions?
