Hannu Mikkola's 1979 RAC Winning Ford Escort MkII - Revell - 1/24

This is my lastest build, finished last week. It's the Revell kit (former Esci) in 1/24th scale. Kit is (this is known) rather poor quality, but the Reji PE, decal, and update-set is what you need to build a representation that comes close to the original. The first 5 images are taken inside, the last 5 outside.

Your model is absolutely gorgeous! It really shows that with skills, aftermarket stuff and some patience the old Esci kit can be built to a really nice model.

Those last two pictures really have impact. The model takes on a whole new meaning with those last two pictures.. Stunning work, Very impressive..

Excellent stuff on a classic rally car.

Can you tell us some more about the after-market items you used? I see that Eduard are doing a p/e set but I don't know anything about the Reji stuff? I have several of these kits that would benefit...
