So how bout those 4th Gen. Civic's?
Being a car guy from way back with love for the great V8's, (of coarse back when gas was $.79 a gallon), I never figured I'd be driving a 4-banger. When the imports started showing up on the strip here in Alabama, I thought," you've got to be kidding". Then one day I just happened to be at a junkyard getting some parts for my 88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and saw a 91 Civic HB SI sitting over in the corner with a little damage to the right side. I asked the guy how much he wanted for the whole car, and he replied $350.00. So I went out to look at it, the body damage wasn't bad, interior was mint, and had a bent spindle. The key was in the ignition so I figured I'd see if it would at least start. I check the water, was a little low so added some, and everything else was fine. Turned it over, crunck right up, and drove it home with bent spindle. Swapped the spindle out, got a front end alighnment, tune up, and have been driving it every since. Had 40k on it when I got it, now has over 200k, and still does 120MPH like a top. Of coarse I've put some $ into it now, paint & body, wheels, suspension kit( polys, KYB's, camber kit), intake, ign.upgrades, and the refreshed tranny from Gearspeed. It has been the best $350.00 I've ever spent, and I'm completely sold on Honda. Believe it or not I bought a 90 CRX with nothing wrong with it for $150.00 shortly after that. I also just recently bought a 89 Civic DX for $250.00 that I'm rebuilding to sell. I don't know if anyone else has had the luck that I have had with Honda, but there the muthaf###ings##t! My avatar is the 91 HB SI.

I've had my CRX for 4 years and have definitely gotten my moneys worth (in comparison to other vehicles I've owned at least)...

Agreed, although it may not be a 4g (although I think I want to always have one around) as my main car...it will be Honda/Acura, next car...Del Slo, S2000, RSX or Si.

I drive twice that if I do a whole 7 days of the week in my car. 5 day work week usually nets about 460 give or take a few.

Re: So how bout those 4th Gen. Civic's?
Actually, it is a whole tank of gas...or rather, thats when I fill it up...Ive never been able to get even 11 gal into the thing, last fill was 7.4 and I thought I was about to run dry..Im running it all the way this time, and its already 1/8" below the red line..once its empty I am going to adjust that damn needle!

Re: So how bout those 4th Gen. Civic's?
dx has 9 gallon tank... si has 11.9 gallon tank. I can get about 360+ miles with a gallon left according to the pump count but I'm on the E line.

Re: So how bout those 4th Gen. Civic's?
Hmm, ive filled my STD up with 11.2 gallons before, but that was me barely making it to the gas station with my car spitting and sputtering when i put it in first, damn near leaving me stranded with the needle way past E.
