rust repair
Hello, Has anyone ever done repair on the rocker panels for the tracker. My car has a couple of rust holes in the rocker panels, and I would like to repair it. Can somone offer any suggestions on how to do that. I am pretty sure I have access to a welder, and cutter. Thanks, KRis

Or you could leave the holes and buy the rust converter in the can it supposidly turns rust to primer and stops the rusting.. I used a whole can on the rear wheel wells alone on mine so far its been 6 months and the rust hasn't spread. |

Re: rust repair
thanks, I will try that, by any chance do you have a name for that product. I wish I would have known about that a couple years ago, before the rust really started to spread. Now I have holes, O well, thanks for the tip, I have already started to make patches for the area, got to find time to now to get them welded up.

Re: rust repair
I have bought some stuff from Walmart called "Rust Converter" made by Klean Strip. Comes in a jelly or spray can.

Re: rust repair
WOW guess what, this car is so far gone with rust, i don't know if it is worth fixing. I found holes under both door frames, the main post the doors mount to are rusting, and the door is sagging, there is a hole in the door, and the rear tailgate now has holes in it. Thats not to mention the body rust that hasn't formed holes, and i got under it working on the breaks, and the body is rusting, where it connects to the frame, and crushing in on itself. Yep then I was driving down the road, forgetting to latch the hood all the way up, the hood flipped up and broke the hinge. I am considering buying a newer tracker, or one that hasn't been in the south.
Well Got to go Thanks for the help |
