I have to agree with Mr. Peckham, the results are fascinating
(the results of course being...a thread without an initial post) |

I PM'd Warmonger on this and he said that
he had typed a large writeup but AF 'died' when he tried to send it. However I just got back from a 4x4 101 traing class on the Rubicon that used ARB lockers and we generally used the rear lockers first and the fronts only to get us up some tough ledges. The fronts usually had to be switched immediatly after getting the front tires over so you could turn turn. (This was on a solid surface (granite) - I have been able to turn my ARB's when climbing with the X but that was on loose soils.) On our last really DIFFICULT climb, I thought I had both lockers on but after I got the top, I found out the rear one was off. My tires were slipping about a third of the way up but the fronts eventually caught traction and pulled me up. Toy Man |
