Honestly, after looking at the thread that you started then I don't blame them for bashing the sol. If someone was to come into the sol forum and say crx's rule the world over a sol then I would take offense to the statement. I have to say you asked for it. It's one thing if someone over there started a del-Sol bashing and you wanted to defend the sol, but you started the thread.
Immature pissing matches about who's car is better is rediculous and doesn't solve anything. Everyone has different tastes. If someone doesn't like the sol then great that's there opinion. Just because I own a sol, doesn't mean that I hate every other kind of Honda's. Shit I own a civic and a sol and always liked how crx's look, especially with a nice body kit. In the end each car is a Honda and for Honda owners to dump on other Honda owners is like a slap in the face in my opinion. It's a Honda, regardless of personal tastes. The car stands for quality that you can count on for years and years. It does bother me that people blow the whole weight issue out of proportion. Yes, the sol weighs more, but it's only by like 100-150 lbs. The car weighs more because of the reinforcement in the doors/pillars due to the targa top for safety reasons. An S model which varies if it's auto/manual weighs in at 2,295. The Si is at 2,414. The VTEC is 2,491. True that weight matters if you race or drag, but I would think that most people on here don't compete in major drag or solo events where it would really matter. If the car was setup to race/drag only then there are several weight reduction ways to acheive less weight in the sol or any car for that matter. The sol may not be the ideal car to drag with professionally, but such sols like the Top Fuel Sol in Japan does low 10's. With the right amount of money and setup anything is possible to achieve good numbers, regardless if it's a sol, civic, or whatever. Blair 95 VTEC www.teamsolil.com |

I was on vacation for a while and was looking through the back threads to see if there was anything I wanted to respond to, and I came upon that bullshit. I then checked over here if he had any recruits (as shit like this has gone down before) As a regular in the 88-91 forum, I can say that I view most people there as kind of a extended family not only cause we have the same car but also because they are cool people.
My personal feelings / expirences with Sol's There were 2 people at my school that had em, I will list mods on each Sol #1 CAI 00 GSR Sawblade wheels Lowered The guy sometimes ran open header Sol #2 Short Ram Intake '00 SI rims I thought they were pretty cool cept that I have trouble fitting in them (me being 6' 6") but that is no reason for me to entirely diss a car. Conclusion -- DelSol_Awesome is a dumbass trying to stir up flame wars
