Porsche 964 turbo Veilside

Hi, this is my new project a Porsche 964 turbo with a resin kit Veilside. The bodykit is very cool but a lot of work is necessary to have a nice final model.

The box and contents:

First I cut the front bumper and I put the Veilside version on it in 2 parts. The bumper was fixed with styrene sheet and Tamiya putty (here used for the little holes between hood and bumper but too as a strong link between body and bumper...)

For the sideskirts it's the same, nothing special.

The new rear bumper was difficult to fix but all is possible with patience (1 hour ). Now I think it's ok .

The last pic for today:

Now a lot of sanding necessary before painting...

Good start.

Check in the archives for CADguy's version of this same kit. He had similar issues w/the extra-small resin.

Yours is quite honestly the only one I've ever seen where the resin parts fit. I've seen this kit up close and the resin parts were terribly undersized. Don't know if the molds or the parts shrank, but it's a universal problem w/Fujimi models and the resin parts in them.

Re: Porsche 964 turbo Veilside

Hi, I have worked long time on the body to have à smooth body. The porsche is now painted in silver dark and I have tried a set of 19" on it... not bad at all but not definitive...
