Towing Wiring

Got my 7 pin plug set and all works (back up, Left, Right, brakes) well with the exception of the 12V power. Does anybody know where the rat tail connects to or if there is a fuse somewhere? The Manual is silent on getting power to this wire.

Re: Towing Wiring

What year is your blazer? If It's like my 02 there is a seperate set of fuses for the trailer harness under the hood.

Re: Towing Wiring

96', I checked under the dash but cannot seem to locate the bundle, (also have a remote starter and relays stuffed under there so it's tight). Cannot find it on the wiring diagrams and looked for the bundle under the hood but cannot seem to lacate it.

Re: Towing Wiring

On my 89 Blazer there is a terminal block on the firewall that has 12v on it. I wired the headlamp relays via nd in line fuse to this ternminal. I think that it was put there for power to be taken from it for 12V trailer electric brakes etc.
