2000 Regal Ls - Performance Upgrades
I once inqured about performance upgrades for my Regal. BNaylor, recommended a ubend delete and a high flow cat, with a PCM upgrade by DHP. All great advice, and will perform all mentioned, now that my budget allows. But my concern is the air intake system. I would like to implement a K/N system. But K/N does not have a system (CAI). Researching further, I noticed that they do have an intake system for a Grand Prix and Impala models with a 3.8L. Will the same system work for a Regal LS. Will it fit. Are there any drawbacks. Thanks

Re: 2000 Regal Ls - Performance Upgrades
Basically CAIs from a similar GM "W" body car like Grand Prix should fit. The problem is you do not see many, if any advertised for a Regal LS. Plenty for the GS model. From what I understand a CAI from SLP or MSP for an L36 should fit but there are no guarantees additional fitting mods will not be required. The Regal LS has a L36 engine option RPO code.
For the K&N like an Aircharger contact K&N technical support and ask them which one will fit. Good luck.
