92 3.1 cooling problems

I have to keep putting water up to the very top of the res everytime I drive like 20+ miles. If it goes down about 2-3 inches it says low coolant and I have to fill it up to that point again. It doesn't seem to take any water from that point like it is using gravity instead of the water pump or thermostat. Not sure if it could be either. I took the belt off and spun the pump pulley to see if it makes any bearing noises all I hear is water swooshing around. The thermostat I didn't think that is the problem either since I have heat like right after I start the engine. If I leave the rad cap off and let it run it shoots all the coolant out and it will start steaming out the rad after about 10 minutes. I had a couple leaks one was right above at the bypass valve gasket resealed that with blue sealant. Seem to have another on the far side sort of under the plenium where it connects to the air cleaner. But I didn't think that would be the major cause of it, haven't quit figured out what hose or anything that it is leaking from yet though. Still trying to figure that one out. No serious water marks from any hoses there. Any help or need and other information to hlep please tell me. At wits end on this one.

Re: 92 3.1 cooling problems

There are two small hoses that feed coolant thru the throttle body that will leak when the car is warmed up. Also, the quick connect heater core hose connector on the drivers side under the t-stat housing are known to rot and crack, and will leak a ton of coolant.
