This weekend I am going to replace the heater core in my Ga, I am told that I have to remove the center console. Can anyone tell me how to remove the console without tearing up the dash?

The console is pretty straight forward to remove. First look on the front of the shifter knob and remove the "U" keeper. The knob will slip right off the top. Open the center console pocket and lift the center piece that contains the window switches to the ashtray. You'll have to unhook the switches, PRND21 board and cigarette lighter electrical connections. Once it's out, just remove the screws in the bottom of the console pocket, on the bracing in the center and up toward the underside of the dash. You're done! I just took mine out yesterday to detail out the interior. It's all T-15 Torx, 7MM and (maybe) a phillips screwdriver.
