Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

Well, I listen to all three about equal, so I can't really answer that.

Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

i'm hopeless with judging music genres.

i'm assuming that Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Percy Sledge etc.. are jazz.

I like country the most, because the women who sing are quite good lokoing

Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

voted blues, but i love jazz all the same. especially old, classic jazz.
check out Eric Sardinas. great steel guitar licks and not a bad voice either.

Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

Jazz for sure. Just an alround great genre of music even though I don't know the slightest thing about it really. All I know is that whenever I put my Sirius station to Planet Jazz it stays there until I reach my destination. But I'm a bassist so I guess that explains it a little...

I can respect country stars for their great voices but I can't stand the music and the lyrics they speak. And blues just isn't my thing.

Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

I'm a jazz man all the way, not to mention a trumpet player. blues is right up there, but not quite the same.

Re: Jazz, Country or Blues?

i'd say i like jazz the best. blues are a close second. i used to not like country at all but i've heard some good country songs since then. i'm a fan of johnny cash. i think it's because of my sisters fiance, he gave her a cd with mostly country and we listened to it most of the way to saskatoon from ottawa (36 hours, took 3 days)
