How do you fix rough idle on '92 S10?
my 1992 chevy S10 4.3L is a bit rough on idle. Yesterday I changed all sparkplugs and the cables but still a bit rough. Is there other way to fix this?

if it is running fine, check the balencer for play, and check the rubber moter mounts, to see if they are in tact, easyer said then done, but both will cause a rough idel but run fine

the balancer is the biggest and the bottom pulley on the engine. the motor mounts are just that. one on each side of motor where the motor mounts to the frame. its a metal bracket with rubber cushions.

Re: How do you fix rough idle on '92 S10?
I just replaced the distributor cap and the rotor about couple hours ago. The cap and rotor were look really bad and old, but, now it runs much better and roughness is gone. I might need to replace the fuel filter too. Do I need to put fuel treatment? if so, what do you suggest for this old truck? At the shop they want to charge me $65 to mix a bottle of fuel treatment. I think its too much for just that. Also, some people told me that it might mess up the fuel injector so, I'm not sure if I want to put fuel treatment. btw thanks for your help, you did well.
