This site is awesome

My Rodeo began having problems starting a few months ago. Cranked over a long time before it would start then it would fluctuate and almost die right after. After digging into the problem on this site I decided to try to replace the Fuel pressure regulator valve. I called my handy local Isuzu dealer and they told me that part was discontinued, that I had to get the whole fuel rail. When I asked how much that was they said that part was discountinued also. Since I knew about the parts available through St. Charles Isuzu I called them and they got me the fuel pressure regulator, a PCV valve, a gas filter and got it all to my house in 3 days (with the 15% web discount and free shipping). I printed out the instructions found here to change these things along with the spark plugs and set to work. A couple hours later it was all back together and now starts like new again. I am no mechanic but the instructions given all were perfect even down to grinding down the 6mm allen wrench to get one of the back bolts. No way would I have attempted this without this site and I know that I saved a bunch of money in the process. So a big thank you to you guys who have made this site what it is. By the way I also changed my IMG's last year with instruction from here. 85k miles and looking forward to the next 85k.

Re: This site is awesome

This site (the other Isuzu ones as well) is a great resource. It has helped me out many times. I like AF in general. I sometimes go into the off-topic area as well as areas for cars I've had in the past.

Yep, a good place to come when you need a confidence boost to tackle a new type of repair. You'll nearly always get someone who's been there and done that. Tom
