Re: Uhh

If the rest of the car is in good shape, do a swap. Hint hint: even a fresh rebuild with some decent parts will make the car something special... ie. z6 metal headgasket, all new gaskets, clutch, flywheel, intake, header, exhaust. You can go b-series too if you have the motivation for it...

Re: Uhh

I would love to do a motor swap or even a rebuild but i cant afford it. I already have an intake, header, exhaust and new clutch and flywheel. I was gonna replace the head gasket, header gasket, valve cover gasket, the piston rings and the bearings but thats too much work for me and i dont how to do it in the first place. the gaskets i could do but the rings and bearings i couldnt. I wish i could do a motor swap im tired of my slow ass d16!

well, if you're not prepared to swap motors, or rebuild w/ new rings and valve seals, you're going to have to live w/ the oil kid.
Try using non-synthetic if you already aren't. Synthetic oil is more slipper and has a tendency to get past the piston rings more. Go with castrol oil 10w30 non synthetic. You will definitely burn less oil, unless of course your valve seals are bad!

Re: Uhh

I say do a rebuild. Replacing all the seals and gaskets really won't cost that much. I have a spare A6 block I will sell you cheap. Has pistons, rods, and crank. So you could rebuild it, then just slap it in and bolt your head on.
