Fluids and modding (2 questions)

I might be getting my car back (see herr).

Questions:
1) The fluids were changed, like, a year ago, but have very few miles on them. Should I change them anyway? The fluids are synthetic but I'd think they have a halflife, too, and eventually break down.

2) Last I knew, the transmission was on it's way out. But, since the car is now somewhat dissassembled, it would be quick to swap the turbo and install supporting mods. My worry is that I've made so many changes to the car that when I start it up and something goes wrong I won't know what the problem is. Thoughts?

Thanks guys.

If your oils were a true fully synthetic oil, then they wont break down. The only reason why you have to change them is because of contaminents(dirt). I would probably change them just so I know no moisture is in them. I wouldn't worry much about drivetrain fluids. Just the motor.

Well I guess it depends how long you want to be riding on the Timms. I personally would put everything back together and get it running before I started modding it. Thats my
