84 D150 Wiring

I can be driving and hit a bump and my headlights and dashlights and radio will flicker off. I have checked all my connections. I have even tried shaking the harness under the dash to see if I could make it happen. I am now leaning to the cab to chasis ground wire that could be lose. I know that at one time Dodge had a issue with their connections. Any ideas?

Replace both battery cables and make sure you have a ground wire hooked up to the radiator support from the battery. Could be the connector on top of the headlight switch is melting as all Dodges eventually do. The floor dimmer switch and it's connections can cause problems. The firewall bulkhead connector(40 pin) may be loose or corroded. Drench that connector in WD-40 or pull it apart and clean up the terminals and apply dielectric grease. That should keep you busy for awhile.
