My trip counter will not reset to 0, it is showing 2305.1 trips.
I just purchased this van from a dealership, and am wondering if the mileage on the vehicle is true. I got some history on the vehicle at carfax.com, it was registered as a commercial vehicle in montreal, is it possible to tamper with the mileage on a 2002 caravan? I would appreciate any comments on this matter. Thank You.

Thats probably the mileage since the trip computer was last reset .The trip computer is for figuring out how far you have been on a particualr trip and for figuring gas mileage , this is not how many miles is actually on the van. How are you trying to reset it , normally if you hold the trip button down for like 5-8 seconds it will zero itself out . Why would you think they messed with the mileage just because the trip computer has not been reset in awhile ???If it showing the trip computer mileage and you want to see what the mileage is on the van itself just briefly (1 second) hit the button again and it will change the mileage to what has actually been put on the van . All this is spelled out in the owners manual.
