Unhappy Astro power door locks

My son placed the radio knob into the cigareette lighter. While attempting to extract it with my key, there was a spark. Now the power door locks do not work.

Is this fuse or wire? If fuse, which location? Please be specific as I am very ignorant of how cars work, but I think I can handle removing adn replacinga fuse. If wire, where exactly? If this is a mechanic's job, what am I looking at price-wise? Thanks in advance.

Re: Astro power door locks

Should just be a fuse. Look in the fuse panel for one marked Cig. ltr. or something to that effect. It should show in your manual exactly what fuse to pull. Replace the blown fuse with the same amperage new fuse and you should be fine.

Re: Astro power door locks

There is a fuse box under the hood. The schematics for that fuse box that are on the insode of the fuse box cover has no cig. lighter or power lock indicator.

I have been unable to open the flap of the fuse box under the dash to the left of the steering column because it is blocked by other stuff. Suggestions?
