Those JGTC NSX's

Hello, heh im back, and im on holidays! so yeah, i quit comming here because of school etc. BUT ITS HOLDAYS!.

anyways.
I wondering, being still abit of a n00b at chooosing nice model kits i have come to ask, you guys.

I was considering the new Raybrig NSX, however i also noticed it didnt come with an engine bay, while the older tamiya model kits(Avex, raybrig, etc) have engine detail. So yeah, im wondering which ones is better?, in terms of detailling, build quality, etc.

cheers. Andy =)

Re: Those JGTC NSX's

I've not completed both of the kits, but I have both. The older kits do have an engine, and are all plastic. The older ones are definately more challenging than the new ones, but they go together really well (the exhausts were pretty tricky, though). They make really good models of the cars, too. Be aware that the Castrol car takes some really tricky masking, so if you go for an older one, one of the other liveries might be more straightforward.

The newer ones are curbside, and also have the foolish metal chassis. These are probably a little easier to put together than the older ones, just because they are simpler. However, the Raybrig car can't have decal set or solvent or even clear sprayed over the metallic decals, so the decal work might be more complicated. From inspecting the body, though, they will look incredible put together.

I intend to put the two together, personally, which always an option, so that you get both the full detail and the newer body style.

Re: Those JGTC NSX's

I was actually intending to get the Avex dome NSX if i was going to to get the older one. Thing is, that i find it more "appealing" that you can actually open the rear wind shield(i think hehe)
