winshield wiper arms 98 silverado

Can someone please tell me how to get the windsheild wiper arms off on my 98 silverado, so I can remove the plastic grate? It is broken beneath the plastic grate. Please help.

Mr. Smith thanks for trying to help me. I got pissed off and went back out and figured it out. And I sware I did what ended up working before. There is a little metal loop sticking out on the front side. All you do is push it back and the dang things comes right off. LOL. I sware I tried pushing and bending that damn thing every which way.

Sorry I misread your post. Yep you did it. I thought you wanted to pull the cover off for the linkages.
