1997 isuzu rodeo trannny hose leak

hey guys and dolls i ran into a problem last night where the hose going from the tranny to the cooler burst open and spilled the tranny fluid out for a matter of 2 blocks then dumped what ever else in my drive way and now the truck wont move in drive or reverse...could damage have been done to the tranny in that 2 block period? can i pump more fluid into it to get it to the dealer?

Did you add more fluid back into it?

If not, I wouldn't be playing with drive or reverse gears til you get more juice in her.

Yes, unfortunately damage very well could have been done on these 4L30-E tranny's - they don't like low or dirty fluid.

I know exactly what hose your referring to - probably just got old.

I replaced mine recently and changed to screw clamps instead of the factory clamps.
