|
Help w t3/t4 install.
1st eclipse I've ever owned and the turbo blew after 2 days. I have a 97 gst and tried to replace it myself with limited funds. So i turned to ebay, bought a kit for $600 headers lines and new turbo 47mm wastegate and no directions. Can anyone help. Should I just sell it and by a OEM or something I can just replace?

Most turbos are $600 or more bro and in this shit, you get exactly what you pay for. If you can back out of the eBay deal do it and get yourself a 16g variant with an install kit or something. www.slowboyracing.com and www.extremepsi.com usually have the best deals.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

Should I just sell it on ebay again? 'Cause my gst is sitting out side w/the turbo and manifold off. With no oil or coolant.

ssautochrome is xspower. I guess they arent as bad as everyone says but 9 times out of 10 the turbo needs to be rebuild when you get it

Yes, I think that we all have come to the conclusion that anything from ssautochrome/xs power is crap EXCEPT their FMIC kit.

my friend bought a ssautochrome turbo for shits and giggles and when he got it the compressor wheel was rubbing on the housing and there was shaft play up the ass but he rebuilt it and made 400whp on a 98 eclipse gs
