Musashi test drives the GTO

Pontiac GTO, the very first ever muscle car is the last great muscle car of our time!
Ask any automotive historian and they will tell ya Pontiac invented the muscle car in 1963 when they sought to boost sales of thier Pontiac Tempest Le Mans by dropping a huge motor into a light car and pricing it at the affordability of any average joe.
The Tempest GTO was the first and the current GTO is the last of the greatest breed to ever blaze the srtip....the American Muscle Machine.
While we all know the GTO is actually an Aussie VXR with pontiac logos lets get to the point at hand, Its fucking badass: its 400 HP, 400 TQ, punches 1/4 miles in mid to low 13s, and ran the top gear course in the same time as an STI.....and its 3700lbs! thats award winning shit right there.

First impression:
As far as exterior look you either love it or hate it. Its simplistic and aside from the functional air-scoops you wouldnt know its a sports car. I hate the retro look so to me its a good looking car.
The inside is amazing. the seats are first-class airliner stuff. The wheel is a bit big but the audio controls are arranged nicely on it. the radio is a Blaupunked (spelling check?) 200-watt, 10-speaker system. The sound is amazing, you can even program the audio to raise and lower with the speed of the car in case you have loud ass mufflers! It has an on-board multy functional computer with digital Speedo, stopwatch, trip meeter, gas tank dynamic display, rest-reminder, dyagnostic on the fly check system, and a bunch of other next-gen stuff.
You can get the interior in black, red, or blue leather to match you car.

The ride:
The first time I punched it I felt like I was a god! all the power in the world at my disposal. If the Greek Gods ever came down and bought cars, Zeus would buy the GTO! OMG it has power. so far every powerfull car ive driven has a great initial torque punch but then levels out. The GTO dosent level out it just makes you smile more and more as it climbs through the revs. It redlines at 6500 rpms and has a built in tach light to let you know you should shift. The sound, the power, the feel of 400 bhp just exploding onto the road. I took it on the high way and ran it up to 80 mph, you know how high it revs in sixth gear at 80 mph? it was below 2000 rpms! the damn car was resting at 80 mph, I could go up to 100 and still be bellow what an Evo does at 70! The car is mounsterous to put it simply. the handling has a bit of roll to it but it sticks in line without a problem.
Its an evil, evil car.

Final verdict:
I loved it so much I couldnt wait. I got me one. a brand new blue impulse metalic with blue leather interiror 2006 GTO.
all that power all that class and so much history behind this great car and all for 32K! How could I ressist?

Re: Musashi test drives the GTO

Not a huge fan of the looks, but you can't go wrong with an LS2. I got in trouble everytime I drove one at work, because you just can't help but have fun in it.

So, now that you have settled on this car, any plans to mod it in the future?

Re: Musashi test drives the GTO

I call BS. You bought an GTO. I thought you said you weren't going to buy a car for like 4-5 months?

If you bought it, be careful, cause mild mods put those cars well above 400whp. I've heard of ones with just long tubed headers and full exhaust hitting 380whp.

just one problem though. ever since I got it Ive noticed my penis has shrunk like 1/2 an inch......is that normal?

Re: Musashi test drives the GTO

Dont worry about voiding the warranty or anything anymore. I just got an updated labor time guide on my desk. One of the warranty labor ops that was added was R9224- GM Performance-- Engine Supercharger/Turbocharger. GM is going to start allowing dealerships to sell factory turbo's and super's to add power and stay within warranty. Im not talking about special ordering, they're actually going to make GM dealers accessory dealers as well.

Well as I tell the BSing n00bs, we need the following pictures:

1. Your car
2. You standing next to your car
3. You in the driver's seat of your car
4. Your car and you at a local McDonald's
5. You holding a sign with your car at said McDonalds that says Musashi>j00
6. Your car at said McDonalds with Angelina Jolie naked on the hood.

Get those six and I'll believe you.

Good choice dude...I always liked the GTO's, but my broke ass obviously can't afford it. Want to drive it north and let me take it for a run?
