Blower motor will nto turn off

Hey all,
I have a '96 2500 with the 454. If I use the rear blower (a/c, heat, vent, whatever) it will not turn off when I turn the ignition off. It will continue to run until I either pull the fuse under the hood or the battery goes dead. If I pull the fuse, wait a few seconds, then replace the fuse it will stay off. My guess is a relay somewhere but what do you guys think?

I agree, sounds like a bad relay.

Re: Blower motor will nto turn off

It sounds like you've got a relay sticking. There are 3 relays, Low, Med & High. They are located on top of the rear HVAC plenum in the right rear interior wheel well. It's a pain to get that stuff off (been there). When it's uncovered you'll see the 3 relays on top. Don't know for sure which is what. You should be able to touch each one and determine which one is the warmest (current flow) while the fan is running, or pull one at a time to see which one stops the fan from running. Hope this helps.............Steve
