If you look at the first photo, you will see a large pin through the FIRE handle.
That pin prevents the cable from being pulled/activated.
In case of a fire, you pull the pin and yank the handle.
The instructions indicate leaving the pin out while racing so you have one less step in the event of a fire, but I do not think I will be doing that.

There is a second pin on the actually lever line, but that is a pain to get to.

The only risk of the system going off when you do not intend it to is from an ignorant person walking by.

Koolness. I was thinking about getting one fore my truck for all that hard core racing i do but i figured if it blows ill go out in a flameing ball of glory and a huge law suit with ford...lol.
