If I'm on that show where my car is on the fucking line in whatever fucking race it is, I'm gonna tell that announcer and the other team they can go fuck themselves with a fucking splintered graphite fucking rod if they think I'm gonna give them an advantage.

And before you say "well its to see who the better driver is" fuck that shit. Half those fuckers use hired drivers anyways, to fucking pussy to race their own car. The entire premise behind that show is a load of horse shit. I say we all get together and pitch a show to Speed that says you challange someone, you show up, you put down fucking cash or your car, and you run heads up once. No fucking negotiations, no leads, no lengths, no you on motor me on spray, none of that fucking shit. Fucking christ, all these fuckers show up on this show and then talk about how fucking hard core bad ass they are, and then they are like...I want a two car head start, or I want him to be off spray. Fuck that shit. What the hell is up with that show. Damn. The world of racing is slowly being wrought with pussies. What the fuck ever happened to "run what you brung"?

I agree with you, but the problem really lies in their format of having 5 back to back races. Unless there is a major breakdown, the car that wins the first race head-to-head would usually take the rest of the races unless its really close (which most of those races arn't). It is kinda rediculous that someone could invest alot less into their car but make it all up in starting position.

If I were to redesign the show I would have 3 head-to-head races, spend more time talking about how the cars are built up, and pre-arrange the races based previous 1/4 mile times, price invested, power, or something to that effect.

Racing should be half car / half driver, if you bring a crappy car, sucks to be you.

I agree completely. I think if the car is built up with turbos and/or spray then it should be used to it's full potential. Seeing that episode with the fat boy in the Civic with all of those lengths and still get his ass handed to him was simply pathetic, and obviously embarassing to him. All because of the stupid pre-race negotiations bullshit. I think if you have slicks and everything else then you should be good to go from the beginning and THAT is what would make it fair... especially when comparing apples to oranges like turbo civics and blown TAs. I also agree that it is half driver, and some of these drivers suck pretty bad. A lot of it is for entertainment... the trash talking, the building their stuff up, etc. Some of it is quite hilarious. I loved that episode where the skinny black dude was driving for this guy against the big boy's GTO? and on the first race the GTO's hood flew open and smacked the roof and top of the windshield. Then the announcer dude asks the skinny black driver dude if he felt bad about what happened and the reply was simply no.

I also agree. I think the races need more regulating, like a set amount of money they can spend or break them up by class, because some of these match ups are just stupid.

^Yeah, I've noticed that a lot. the civic episode is probably the best example. By the end he just had to ask for 20 lengths cuz he was so outclassed.

But a funny thing I've noticed is that one of the two guys will always start to trash talk his own car. I remember seeing this one episode where the guy just kept saying stuff like: "How am I supposed to compete with that? My car's a piece of garbage!" or "He's got the best parts of the market and i got some shit out of a bargain bin!"

Then what the fuck are you doing on the show, asswipe? If you are racing for PINK SLIPS, you might not want to bring a shitty car, especially if it's the best you've got.

Most of the time it's BS though. They're just trying to fight for every last advantage they can get, which entails a decent amount of outright lying. I think the guy with the "bargain bin" car won that episode anyway....

The match up of the Civic and T/A wasn't a case of being out classed. It was simply the kid could not drive.

The T/A owner said, after he drove it, that it was capable of giving his T/A a good run for it's money. It's the Civic's owners fault that he was a tool behind the wheel that they lost.

i dont mind about asking to remove spray and stuff like that just to make the cars a little more equal, like if the two cars weigh about the same and have 600hp no spray, but someone stinks some nitrous on and doesn't dyno it with nitrous that's unfair. but like one of the competitors said, giving up lengths is like giving up pride. and i think they should have some of the show where they video taped the car buildup or something about the people and less about arguing about car lengths. then if there ARE problems and stuff they include it, it would make for a more dynamic show where you don't always know what to expect.

Thanks to that show the rest of the world thinks quarter milers are a bunch of pissy whining babies. And I hate the way they cut to a commercial right when they launch - I'm already irritated listening to the whining losers ask for more car lengths then they pull that shit. I watched half of one show...then tried to watch again once more...damn! I want to like the show, it's such a good idea, but...damn.
