Eyeball, Flames, Ravens- Acrylic on Canvas!

Ok I am not real sure how this turned out. This is the first canvas I have ever done, the largest painting I have ever done, and the first painting with acrylic I have ever done, so I am really hoping for some feedback!

sorry for that last one...im too tired to flip it around

Anyway, please let me know what you think!!!

Thanks,
Tim

^that's what came to my mind too.

Looks awessome for a first. There must be painters on this forum that could give you some good advice

ooh....
painting.
something that i can almost do.....

first things first, i'm going to say what most art tutors are going to say:
relax and don't be afraid of the canvas or the paint.
ok, crit time.
not sure if you intended it this way but as a whole, it doesn't quite gel together. the eyeball kinda just sits on top of the background. This could just be because of the relatively drawn (printed?) way you've done it opposed to the more obscured painted background.
don't think that border you painted is entirely neccesary but then it does unify the entire comp. better. Might look better if it was done more loosely, let some brush strokes show.
