Need help on dropping my Civic

sup everybody

i was wondering if anybody can help me out on dropping my Civic? i am going to be ordering some tokico shocks, some coilovers, and a buddy club body kit. my car is pretty much stock right now. i want to know how much should i drop my car. i want it to be as low as possible, but high enough to make it up and down driveways with out a scratch. also is there any tricks i can use when driving so i don't mess up my car when going up and down driveways?

thanks

Civics are pretty low stock, so you don't need too much of a drop. I would sugest an 1" - 1.25" and that should take care of the wheel gap. This kit will take care of the bodies profile.

The problem with dropping the car and adding a kit is you will almost always scratch up (or bust) the bottom of the front bumper. The best way to get up driveways and over speedbumps is to go over them at an angle. almost sideways.

Well whatever size rim you get you should go down sizes in tires, so that the overall diameter stays the same. otherwise your speedo will be off. For a civic, I would'nt recomend going higher than 17 inch rims. 1st reason being the tiny car would look weird with 18"s on there. 2nd reason is there is a huge price jump between 17 and 18 inch rims. Even on my maxima, I don't think I'll go over 17 inches for my new rims.

Swonder67 is right ...18's or bigger look wierd on civic's ...my car is lowered about 2 inches with a body kit and i have no problem except for the front ....that rubs sometimes if i pull into a steep driveway.....if you get the adj. coilovers just put the body kit on and lower it like an inch ....drive it and see how it is ....if you have no problems ....lower it more

My question is, why would you want it that low? I mean, why do you want to scrape? Why would you want to mess up your body kit? Why would you throw your performance in the trash (too low, bad handling). Going sideways over a bump is ridiculous.

... Don't forget camber and toe issues. Of course you'll scrape if you're SLAMMED, like 3+ inches. But a nice sport drop, 1-2 inches, gives the car an aggressive look, and better handling. But I would prefer a SLIGHT, (like 1-1.25 inch drop) though
