4L60e tranny
man do i feel embarr-assed to have to ask this question.....
2001 gmc jimmy 2wd 4.3 v6 w code, cannot find out what is the difference between "deep pan" and "shallow pan"??? every parts joint ask's which i have, but none can tell me how to tell. it looks like a tranny pan to me, i don't know if it is deep, or what. is "deep" for 4wd, or can someone tell me the measurements in inces deep, i need to change fliud and filter/gasket, but this little snag is p'ing me off. thanks excheezhead. Most of them have shallow pans. You can tell which you have with a quick peek underneath. The shallow pans are flat. The deep pans are stepped.
