2003 impala

Hi. I am new here. I got 2003 chevy impala in october 2005. Car have 84000 miles on it. I have litle strange shifting and no power. I read a lots of posts and ithink it cant be presure control solenoid. It looks like cat conventer. Shifting is like kick back shifting and most on 1-2. 2-3. If you have any ideas please help. If somebody from you think its cat, then axplain to me this: go to autopartswarehouse.com and take look on direct fit catalyc conventer, you gonna see that thing cost around 166.66. But if you gonna take a look on chevyparts.com and enter the part number10343185 around 500. why such a big different. OK gus i am not sure what is that cat or injectors or pressure control solenoid or something else. Please Help .Car is 2003 3.4 eng. before car used to lease and have 84000 miles on it. I change only spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, syntetic oil in engine, and changed oiland filter in transmission. Any help will be apreciated.

well if its the CAT GM has extended the warranty to 10yrs 120k. I believe the 03 is included in the extention. you have to take it to the dealership and have a new GM CAT installed. If the CAT is bad it will cost you nothing. I dont know if the 3400 is in the warranty extention either.

RE: Today I called my dealer he said , that he gonna change cat conventer for free. And he said if this is not cat then i have to pay him 150$ diagnostic fee. I just dont wanna spend 15o for nothing. Cuase stiill paying for the car. Maybe somebody khow what else can it be. Symptoms:NO POWER, GAS MILEGE BAD, KICK BACK UPSHIFTING, SES lamp illuminated.

if your SES light is on, go to autozone or checker, ahve them read the code, write it down and bring it back here, ill tell you whats wrong.

I just from yhe dealership. And they saying my catalyc conventer not covered by waranty. Mayebe somebody know where i can get ceap price on it. Please!!!

Re-read your posts for proper spelling/typing, anyway is your car part of the extended warranty on the cats?

No not covered. I am looking for cheaper price but not aftermarket. Any replys apre.
