What is the easiest way to find TDC

Hi, lookin for help on finding TDC. What is the easiest way to go about this process and how is it done? And can a timing light be used for this process? Please be clear, im horrible with technical directions. 85 cutlass v6 3.8

Call the dealership service department and ask them what the timming should be set to. Then you use a timming light to read where the white line read on the little metal plate (has dashes and degree values) to make the like line up with what the dealer told you...Im going to tell you right now, it wont be TDC. The degree before TDP that you need varies from year to year and engine to engine, so be specific when you call the Dealer.
