97 Lumina Volts Light
What might cause the volts light to come on only after turning on the fan?

Re: 97 Lumina Volts Light
Whats a 'volts' light, where is it, and what is it supposed to indicate?
Is it just a square with the word 'volts' on it? |

Re: 97 Lumina Volts Light
Put a voltmeter to the battery- confirm low voltage - 12 volts or less would be bad with engine and fan(s) running- need 13 or better, prefer 14.5 volts on a good alternator set-up. Volt light is doing its job- letting you know you have a problem- if confirmed....
