Question key switch for SC2 year 2000

My key ignition switch, or i dont know what its called, but the place where you insert the engine key, is broken. at times, i could use any tip of any key and get it started. i was wondering if it is hard to install a new switch and what the cost might be. would it have to be done by a professional or is it a simple thing. where can i find the part i need.

Re: key switch for SC2 year 2000

its pretty simple, but i think your year, as some others, had issues with that so you might want to go to a dealer and ask about that. could have it done for free. oh and its called a tumbler. the ignition switch is the electrical part on the tumbler.
