Kickdown cable replacement
Just finished fixing a leaky fpr last night and found that this part had broke. I didn't even know what it was till last night. Any how to on replacing this? Someone suggested I'd have to pull the side pan off...nothing I've done before so a how to would be nice. Thanks in advance

Re: Kickdown cable replacement
It looks like you just take that hold down bolt outta the retainer down there and pull the part that's broke off out... I think that cable presses in on something, rather that being hooked on something, see what I mean? So you just install the new one externally, I think.
Look at a new one at the parts store. Then you'll see if I'm right.

90 Lumina Euro 3.1L
"The 3 speed will be a part # of 10085373 and goes for $42.41. The 4 speed is a part # of 10142050 and goes for $41.28." before I order can someone confirm that I'm correct in assuming I have a 4 speed because of overdrive? Pretty sure I have Drive, OD, and two lower gears. I haven't driven the car regularly in 5 months so I'm trying to remember |
