Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

When I do my fuel system, its going to be nothing but Aeromotive products. They are expensive but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. my

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

well I mean Megan racing is a pretty good place to buy it, I wont mind shelling out that extra money for megan racing, but once I get it. How do I hook it up, I got the 255..

Edit: I am talking about buying it from SBR.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

Never buy a regulator off of ebay, they are junk. I'm going to either get a megan racing unit or an aeromotive but probably the latter

I would imagine that it comes with some intallation instructions.

Did the 1G come with an FPR stock? I am 99% sure that the 2G did, so I would replace it where ever the stock unit was.

From what I understand it just needs to be between the Fuel Pump and the Fuel Rail, but the closer to the Fuel Rail the better off you are. Im not a 100% sure though, because I havn't ever installed one.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

Basically all fuel injected cars have a regulators somewhere in the system including 1g's. The regulator goes after the rail on the return line, one side of the regulator is in and the other side is out and you just kind of put it in the system.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

Correction 1g has the FPR so I just take that off and put the new one on? then how do I get the right pressure setting?

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

There should be an adjustment screw on the AM FPR and you will need a FP gauge in line before the FPR to see what line pressure is.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

IIRC base pressure on a 2g is ~43.7 at base idle so I think a 1g should be around that.

I thought he was talking about 1g's in there, but I guess not. I hope that helps anyway.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

and that is the pressure just at idle? with a new FPR, well that almost eliminate fuel cut, or are bigger injectors needed, I only have a 14B. Will that help improve the 13X miles that i get to the tank?

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

From what I understand, fuel cut is the pump not able to pump sufficient gas and has nothing to do with the fpr.

Re: Buying FPR, which is better?

fuel cut is caused by the ecu "seeing" more air flow in than it thinks it can handle
