Need for Speed
Hello, Im new to the forum. I jsut purchased a HPI Sprint 2 with the Nascar truck body. Its a 4wd street car with a 17T Tornado for a motor. I dont really know what the number of turns means but Im looking for something faster. Can someone recommend a faster motor.
I used to race r/c cars about 17 years ago. I had the original alum body Team Assoc. RC-10, what a great car that was. However I havent had a r/c car since then and I really dont know anything about whats out there.

the link is http://castlecreations.com. going brushless my be a little more but its a whole lot better in the long run. you will never have to worry about matinance again and you have crazy fast speeds. also look into gettin Li-Po or Li-Mn batterys for crazy power and long run times. hope this helps

Re: Need for Speed
Brushless is cool but very expensive..
For the price of a brushless setup you could buy a 3.3 traxxas 4tec and do 72mph OTB. But for people who don't like nitro brushless is the way to go

Re: Need for Speed
I have to say brushless is the way to go in ly personal openion.. i have a nitro TC3 , nrushless stampede, and more, but between the two of those my brushless was not that expensive and a 5 minute install...it also beats the TC3 in a drag race to a 1/4 block distance... past that the nitro pulls past...it has 2gears and better transmitter to go further...
But like i was saying my stampede is a basic truck with the MAMBA 7700 BRUSHLESS, and some other upgrades and im verry happy with it! i wouldnt doubt if that truck can go 50mph easily!!! BTW... the 7700 mamba system costs about $210. depending where you look... and can be swapped to any 1/10 truck or car! so you can convert anything else you might buy to come! ------------------==madinker==---------------------- |
