Gauge install problems

Hey guys. I bought this gauge set from ebay for my 1g eclipse but I have some questions I cannot find the answer to.

First of all:
For the water temperature gauge, do I need to keep the stock temp sender or I can completely disconnect it and replace it with this one, since this will be the gauge I will be looking at anyways? Does the ECU need the stock sender to be reading the accurate temperature or I can just leave it hanging outside? If I have to keep the stock sender in there I need a "T" connector so I can connect both senders. Problem is, I can't find the damn T connector anywhere, not that size and thread at least. If I can ditch the stock sender and just connect the new one that would be very easy but I am just worried if the ECU needs for something else other than showing the reading on my gauge on the dash.

Second:
The directions for the Amp gauge show to connect the gauge to the starter connectors, the positive to the solenoid battery connector and the negative to the starter. Would this work for our cars? Any other suggestions for connecting the gauge?

Third:
The oil pressure gauge has the same issue as the water temp gauge. Do I need to keep the stock one in there or I can just use the new one and not get any reading from the stock one?

I also have my boost gauge and A/F gauge ready to be installed but I can't find a good enough pod for those two. The other three I will mount in place of the stock cd player, since I don't need it anyways and I will have the top space for a new cd player.
Please help guys. I was searching and reading my manual and I know where is what on the car I just can't find the answers to the above questions.

Re: Gauge install problems

I know in the 2g dsms there are 2 pressure senders, the one closest the the fire wall is for the dash gauge and the other one is for the dummy light so you can tap into the stock guage sender.

Re: Gauge install problems

Is it just a thin pressure hose? Because my oil pressure gauge has a thin white pressure gauge coming out of it, just like a boost gauge.

By the way, I just installed my boost controller but since I haven't installed my boost gauge I kept it almost all the way open so the spring can be compressed easy. Well I tried the car and the stock boost pressure went up to about 14 psi very quick but I felt short and quick pulls backwards, like a fuel cut kinda thing but I am not sure if it's that. It just felt like the car was pulsating for fraction of a second when it was running full boost. What is the reason for that? Is it too much boost even though I haven't adjusted the MBC to too high, if any at all? Any advices?

Re: Gauge install problems

1.Yes its just that hose, I went to auto value and picked up a brass one though, it made me feel a little safer.
2. Sounds like a boost leak, have you done a boost leak test?

Re: Gauge install problems

No, i haven't done a boost leak test since I never had any problems before with the stock 10psi boost. I never felt this happen and it was very strange when it happened now. And I was expecting some crazy pull from the increased boost and it wasn't that much stronger. The stock gauge went to 14 psi but it if there is a boost leak would it even affect the boost gauge?

Re: Gauge install problems

The stock gauge doesnt mean anything, IIRC it just estimates and doesnt actually measure boost. Do a boost leak test and see if anything comes up

Re: Gauge install problems

Will do. I will do some reading/searching for that to see how the whole thing was done since I read it somewhere but I don't remember anything since then
I might have just as well raised the pressure too much, who knows. Even though I didn't tighten that bolt to much who knows how sensitive it is.
I should have installed my boost gauge first but I was too much in a hurry to get that extra boost
