I'm lookin into buying a 92' dakota, its a 2WD with a 318 in it. I was just wondering what kind of gas mileage I can expect to get? This truck has been kept very well but is still stock. I would also be interested in knowing what some simple mods are for them. I'm not looking for a ton of power, because of gas prices, but just something extra. Please let me know if you have any input

Re: Please Reply!
Gas mileage is hard to predict. I drove a '93 with a 318 and I would get anywhere from 12mpg (to much lead foot) to the usual 16mpg. If I actually drove decent and kept my foot off of the floor I could get 21mpg on the highway. There is such a list of performance parts for this it would be hard to name them all on a single posting.
Cold air kit (such as K&N fipk), headers, cat back exhaust, high flow cat, Aluminum Magnum R/T heads (Mopar Performace), single plain intake manifold (MP), computer (MP), Magnum R/T cam (MP), larger throttle body, Supercharger. The list goes on and on. I have seen some Dak's with a crate motor 408ci with a custom computer reprogram running at 450hp. |

Re: Please Reply!
You get much faster replies if you put 4-6 words about what you are talking about in the title instead of just "Please Reply" .
As for your question, low teens- maybe mid teens if you are really a light foot.
