Re: engine swap 1.6 to a 3.0
I hope you meant 2.0, because you'd have a hell of a time with a 3.0.
The 2.0 will fit. See the Sentra README thread.

Re: engine swap 1.6 to a 3.0
maybe he's talking about the vg30 from teh maxine? the 3.5 will fit in the new b15 chassis with some fabbing although idk about the 3.0 into an older chassis, the b15 is wider and longer so there may be some issues

Re: engine swap 1.6 to a 3.0
Is there something wrong with the motor? Cause if not, I doubt you have too many miles on it.
Just put an SR20 in it anyway.

Re: engine swap 1.6 to a 3.0
could always replace head gasket and rings, freshen up the valvetrain and then turbo would go good on it with any amount of miles, its a low boost kit so you wont need pistons or rods.....sr20 might be cheaper

Re: engine swap 1.6 to a 3.0
what yr . is your B12? does it have the Ga16I or the E-16?
yes you could fit a mai engine in it. but it's not like swapping a SR, CA or a GA in it. the VQ or VG are goning to be all custom swaps. from wiring tranny, and engine mounts, and all the plumming. My 2 Cents. don't do it. I would choose one of the ohter swap I listed above. the best bang for the buck would be the CA18DET into the coupe .. sense this was stock in all the coupes' but the american ones. the Ca will be around 175HP with stock turbo.and use the same mounts. and a doner car is a 88-89 Pulsar SE for all your stuff. but the DET engine and the ECU and MAF. chip
