Ok I just got this car like 5 days ago and I have replaced the fuel pump and filter. I Had a tune up done and I replaced the breather filter becaus it was taking in some oil. For some reason the car will just die on me; Sometimes after I'v driven it for an hour and others after 5 minutes of driving. After it dies it always gives me trouble but eventualy starts back up I don't know what is wrong. Please help!!!!!

Re: '92 Rs 305 TBI DIES!!!!!! PLEASE HELP
It usually happens when im idling like at a red light but it also happens when im breaking. I dosn't make a sound the idle just drops out the car dies and the check engn. light comes on. It dosn't give a worning no sputter or anything. Whats wierd is when the car is runnig it works fine no hasitation or anything.

Re: '92 Rs 305 TBI DIES!!!!!! PLEASE HELP
An abrupt, just quits feels like you intentionally shut it off usually points to a ignition/elec problem.
A sputter to death would usually be a air/fule(lack there of) issue. |
