Morality... and how the rest of us use it!
My best friend's old college teacher told us about a man, just recently, that bought a VW from an auction, and after he drove it for a little while, he realized he couldn't get more than 2 gallons of gas into it. So he takes it to a mechanic, who finds $500,000 and 'X' amount of cocaine in the tank. The man promptly takes the money and drugs and turns it in to the police. *sigh*
In all honesty, I don't find that particularly moral, I find it very dumb. Alright, you coudl burn the cocaine if you want to be a good person, but givign it to the police?! that couldn't ever even convict someone. ever. Because the car had changed hands. So giving it to the police means it sits in a locker for like 7 years max, then is absorbed into the state. So wonderful. And you wonder what he got out of it?! Nothing. I mean CRIMESTOPPERS pays $500 on a TIP that something bad MIGHT happen. come ON!!! Now morally, most people might turn in the drugs, but the $?!

I would have just keep the 500 Grand and turned in the cocaine. How would anyone find out about the money?

what an idiot for turning in the money. wth was he thinking? yeah the drugs cuz if you keep them then somehow you might get caught with them and that's not cool. but c'mon, the money too? someone should slap his stupid ass

Bet ya there was probably more than 500,000 in that car and he just turned that sum in. If not then ya he is a dumb ass.

How do you hide $500,000? You can't just spend it, people will start to ask questions. HOWEVER if you find money and turn it in, and it isn't claimed (by someone who can prove it's theirs) you get to keep it after a set amount of time. Now on $500,000 I think that time would be a while, but I'd find out about that first. Plus, who's gonna go in and be like "Hey, did you find $500,000? Oh, no the drugs aren't mine, just the 500 grand." They can't claim it 'cause it would connect them to the drugs. Plus I think the story is bs. If it was a college professor he probobly just said it as an example.

Well first off.. yes you can hide 500K.. its easy, also you dont have to go on a shopping spree either, and also who the hell would suspect anything anyway? Unless you've been in trouble with the law alot to begin with.

How do you hide $500,000 and let nobody know about it? And all you have to do is spend enough money and the IRS will eventually start asking questions. Hell if you spend $10,000 in a year and the IRS doesn't know where it came from they'll start asking questions. Plus you have to pay off the mechanic. Now if you opened an off shore account, I could see it working easily.
And I'm not saying you have to go on a shopping spree, but we're talking about the government man. Next thing you know you'll have black helicopters circling your house and guys will be taking pictures of you from two miles away on top of a building that you don't even see and then one day BAM, you dissappear and you're never seen again. Ok, not really, they'd just get you for tax evasion, you might have to spend a couple weeks or months in jail, pay the taxes, and keep the rest, but which one makes a better story? The point is they can catch it. What happens afterward is only limited by your imagination, haha.

Yeah screw the 5 ones or the 4, 99 cent ones. I always get the 10 pack too.. doesnt cost much more..
But no burger king fries, I usually go home after that and drink some Mountain dew.
