98 Tahoe 1 speed wiper ??

I just noticed today that my wipers only seem to have the low speed working. Everything else is fine, the intermittant works and no other problems. When I put the wipers on high speed, they still operate at low speed. Is there a resistor or something that controls this or is it something else like the motor or multiswitch ?? Thanks.

You might want to check your wiper switch but most problems are in the pulse board that is in the front of the wiper motor.
Whack or wiggle it a few times.
If you are lucky it might be under recall. Have your dealer run your vin no for recalls.

I already fixed the pulse board so I don't expect that is the problem. I will take it apart and check though. I remembered that the engine compartment was power washed recently so maybe some watergt in to the circuit board.
