95 Integra GSR transmission problem

Hi, i stumbled across this board and was hoping there is an expert among you fine folks who can help me with my problem...

It started out as a first gear shudder, and it felt like the clutch wasn't disengaging well, but went away a few days later so i disregarded it and continued driving. Fast forward to a week or so later and the car just doesn't want to get out of gear, i push the clutch to the floor as soon as i try putting the shifter in a gear, it grinds to all hell. The only way i was able to shift gears was to turn the car off, put the car in the gear i wanted, then turn it on and shudder my way to a start. You can imagine how annoying this was when it started, right in the middle of stop and go traffic in the city... The clutch doesn't slip at all and feels like a relatively strong grip, so i don't think it is at all worn. Any advice at all you can give would be a life saver, thankyou in advance.

-Mike

Well...

The best thing I can tell you is to go toan transmision expert about this. From what it sounds like your noe of your gears are shifting or something,I'm not an transmision expert my self and formthe looks of it no one on this furom is. So try the furom over at www.hemmings.com they are bunch of old guys...but they have been around longer then all of us.

check that first, then if its not that then more and likely a bearing such as the throwout bearing has gone bad. its very unlikely its a synchro problem since its in all gears and its highly unlikely the sychros in all gears happen to be bad. something is causing your clutch to not engage or disengage properly.
