the only "clip" on the plug wires that I know of is on the coil end, and each plug wire should have two tabs that you just squeeze at the top and the plug end comes right off then.

Sorry man, I have no idea. I've never messed around with a 4.6 but, isn't the 35th anniversary the 1999(edge style) red with black honeycomb insert in the back and black on the hoodscoop? What's the 1998 anniversary package like?

Ha Ha, I must have been asleep when I responded to his first post...I didn't even notice that he had the 35th Anniversary part in there....Yup, 99 was the only year for the 35th Anniversary edition Mustang....a 1998 is just a plain 1998 Mustang...they didn't celebrate the 34th Anniversary...

You are sure right about the year, but I think the anniversary ones just had a badge that said 35th anniversary, there were GTs' with all the inserts and crap but I think that might have been something different.

No, I know what you're saying, about the badges on the fender. But they had a special anniversary package also, not just a GT with a 35th badge. A guy I worked with had one. It was a 1999 and they only came in red with a black stripe about two feet long just befor the hood scoop. The hood scoop was not the low sitting scoop like other 99-00's or the V6. It was like on later 01-04 GT's where it sits higher. It also had the black honeycomg insert between the taillights like they had in the early 70's. Don't quote me on this one but I think they also had different wheels. I think the seats had silver inserts in the center. It was a special edition. They may have carried over the "anniversary year" to 2000 and just put 35th badges on the fenders of the 2000. Kind of like on 89's, they had 25th badges on the pass. side dash which they also did on 1990's.
